How you will make an impact

  • Provide strong technical Aerospace claim leadership across all AIG Aerospace Claims aimed at ensuring the best possible loss outcomes through Total Cost of Claim management and initiatives
  • Act as the Global Aerospace Claims coordinator for large claims, authorizing reserves and payments within granted authority and referring over authority claim decisions to appropriate Senior Claim leadership
  • Responsible for timely and accurate reporting of all Aerospace major claim casualties & catastrophes involving AIG Aerospace policies
  • Delegate, in accordance with Global guidelines, reserving, payment and settlement authority to AIG Aerospace Claim team members in conjunction with Global, International, Specialty, Regional & Country Claim management
  • Work closely with International, Regional and Country Claim executives / managers to ensure appropriate resource levels & skill sets to support AIG’s Global Aerospace claim portfolios
  • Review and implement corrective actions for continuous Aerospace claims operational improvement identified through claim & business operational metrics, MBR / QBR processes, business & actuarial analysis and other available data reporting in conjunction with International, Regional and Country claim leaders
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with Aerospace underwriting, actuaries, finance, risk control, reinsurance and other stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Global, Regional, and local Aerospace customers, brokers & producers
  • Consistently review existing best practice guidelines and claim adjustment procedures & upgrade as needed to be the best in practice in Aerospace claim management
  • Maintain Aerospace claim team skills by developing, delivering and supporting claim handling and technical training to keep claim staff current with industry custom & practice. Recruit and retain best available Aerospace claim talent
  • Lead AIG’s Global Aerospace claim industry thought leadership by contributing to and participating in Aerospace market groups, committees, seminars, programs & industry events
  • Responsible to identify and report Global Aerospace claim trends, lessons learned, emerging risks & loss mitigation opportunities and share with relevant Aerospace stakeholders (underwriting, actuarial, finance, risk management)
  • Promote and drive a proactive customer claim experience leveraging Digital, Shared Service and technical claim processes within Global Aerospace claim teams / operations
  • Participate in, contribute to and support Global, International, North American and Specialty claim leadership programs and initiatives.
  • Enable and facilitate Global Aerospace Claim team compliance with all appropriate governmental regulatory and AIG Corporate claims governance guidelines

  • Proven leadership and personnel management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a global claim business and a broad range of product & regional stakeholders.
  • Highly collaborative capabilities across functions and geographies.
  • Ability to manage and influence in a worldwide matrix structure

Technical Skills and Expertise:

  • Expert technical Aerospace industry & claim knowledge to manage & oversee AIG’s Global Aerospace Claim portfolio
  • Demonstrate an established & proven reputation in Aerospace Insurance claim management
  • Ability to manage to general expense budget and minimize the total cost of Aerospace claims in indemnity & expense
  • Identify, develop, and implement process improvement and efficiency opportunities
  • Existing strong relationships with Global Aerospace stakeholders, customers, brokers & producers
