Join the Pinnacle of Satellite Technology Advancement in Germany!
Reflex Aerospace is at the forefront of propelling high-performance satellite technology to new heights within the German aerospace landscape.
As part of Reflex Aerospace, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the trajectory of the space industry's future. This is an opportunity to contribute your expertise and enthusiasm to a team that stands for innovation and excellence. If you are ready to take on exciting challenges and be part of a company that is redefining the boundaries of satellite technology, we welcome you to embark on this thrilling journey with us!
As a Flight Dynamics Engineer you will design, analyze, and support spacecraft trajectories and guidance strategies, with a strong focus on rendezvous and proximity operations (RPO) and formation flight. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and validating relative motion, rendezvous, and close-approach maneuvers for on-orbit operations, working closely with AOCS, software, and mission operations teams.
Design and analyze orbital trajectories
Perform orbit determination, propagation, maneuver planning, and delta-V budgeting
Plan autonomous and ground-assisted proximity operations sequences and abort strategies as well as plan and optimize routine operational activities
Develop and maintain flight dynamics analysis tools and simulations
Validate guidance concepts via Monte Carlo analysis and sensitivity studies
Develop autonomous closed loop orbit control algorithms
Support software-in-the-loop (SIL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing
Support launch and early orbit operations, commissioning, and on-orbit activities
Degree in Space Engineering, Astrodynamics, Physics, or a related field
At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in space industry
Strong background in flight dynamics, including orbit determination and propagation, maneuver planning and validation
Experience designing and analyzing rendezvous and proximity operations or formation flight
Good understanding of satellite AOCS sensors and actuators, mainly propulsion and GNSS
Good understanding of navigation filters, including state estimation and uncertainty assessment for orbit determination and proximity operations
Experience with ECSS standards is a plus
Proficiency in at least one technical programming language (e.g. Python, MATLAB)
Experience with flight dynamics tools (e.g. GMAT, STK, Orekit)
