Your new role:
As a Facilities & Maintenance Assistant at our busiest UK location, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our estate, supporting our team and guests. From general maintenance tasks and basic repairs (including painting, plumbing, and joinery) to office moves and equipment checks, you’ll be central to keeping the estate running efficiently and to a high standard.
You’ll be responsible for a range of duties including routine health and safety checks, waste management, stock deliveries, and the upkeep of communal areas and gardens. You’ll also support regular inspections, bin collection, and the cleaning of wider facility spaces. As the first point of contact for tenants and contractors, you’ll be approachable and professional, escorting visitors as required and helping maintain our excellent standards of service.
Health and safety are at the heart of everything we do, and you’ll play an important role in maintaining compliance, reporting incidents, and supporting our goal of zero accidents. You’ll work closely with both the Facilities and HSE teams to promote a positive safety culture, ensuring policies are followed and hazards are reported promptly. Full training, including wing walking and hangar door operations, will be provided, and you’ll also assist with operational tasks as requested by the Security Manager.
About you:
You’ll have previous experience working in a Facilities or Maintenance team at a busy, medium to large location. Although not essential, but previous experience in aviation, hospitality or a related industry would be advantageous. You’ll be flexible, willing to work both independently and as part of a team and be flexible to cover shifts as needed. In addition, this role requires strong communication and listening skills, good time management, organisation skills and IT proficiency / computer literate to include basic Microsoft packages and various internal systems. Essential requirements include a checkable five-year employment history, a full, clean UK driving license (automatic and manual).ally able.
