Job Description Summary

The Enterprise Strategy Intelligence team is responsible for identifying opportunities, threats, and risks to inform the enterprise and business unit strategic options. The Enterprise Strategy Intelligence Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining a single, synthesized view of the aerospace ecosystem, balancing market and technology dynamics.

You'll be responsible for collaborating across a network of partnerships, both internal and external, to sustain an integrated view of all industry dynamics, informing strategic prioritization and decision-making with minimal bias. The work spans Enterprise and Business Unit Strategy, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, and other cross-functional partners to align insights with enterprise needs. Job Description

Role Summary

  • Develop and maintain the framework for an aerospace ecosystem view, contextualizing the prioritization of key strategy topics with a deep understanding of macroeconomics and technology.

  • Build an enterprise source of truth for strategic intelligence by developing and maintaining integrated landscape assessments, translating complex technical, financial, and market data into concise, actionable insights, identifying correlations and anticipating trends that inform portfolio decisions, capability roadmaps, and investment prioritization.

  • Strengthen cross-functional collaboration across other intelligence managers, Marketing, Engineering, Product Lines, Sales, Commercial Operations, Legal, Finance, and Strategy to align assumptions, scenarios, and implications.

  • Communicate succinctly to senior leadership and across the enterprise through written briefs, presentations, and verbal updates with clear takeaways and next steps.

  • Improve the quality, timeliness, and accessibility of insights, standardizing and continuously improving the strategic intelligence operating model, leveraging lean tools to simplify and sustain processes.

Essential experience

  • Both a technical and analytical background, with strong experience in forecasting.

  • Aerospace experience in economics, strategy, consulting, analytics, corporate development, or related fields, preferably across multiple countries.

  • Ability to communicate effectively across a multi-structured global stakeholder group, up to executive and C-suite level.

  • Ability to identify and prioritise strategy topics - and effectively summarise and communicate to the business. e.g. What matters most to the business, when and why it's important.

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience forecasting in Aerospace (e.g. Cirium, flight data)

  • Demonstrates deep economics expertise and a robust understanding of the global aerospace industry, including drivers impacting engine OEM financials.

  • Translates technical, financial, and market data into concise, actionable insights using strong analytical and quantitative skills.

  • Builds and maintains a broad network with aerospace thought leaders to inform strategy and decisions.

  • Communicates clearly and collaborates effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders, including senior and C-suite leaders and across business units.

  • Proactively self-educates to stay current on the global economy, aviation industry dynamics, competitor moves, and customer trends.

  • Applies strong organizational skills to manage multiple high-priority projects in fast-paced, time-sensitive environments while aligning to strategic priorities and customer needs.

  • Utilizes lean tools to simplify, standardize, and sustain operational processes for delivering data and insights.

  • Shows passion for whitespace learning, emerging technologies, and new business models, with curiosity for the art of the possible in shifting landscapes.

Required Qualifications

  • Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in Engineering, Economics, Data Science/Analytics, or a STEM-related field of study. A Masters degree is highly desirable.

  • Experience Requirement: Extensive experience within aerospace, from the following areas: economics, strategy, consulting, analytics, corporate development, or related fields, preferably across multiple countries.

  • Location & Travel Requirement: Our preferred work locations for this role are in Europe, should a candidate require a remote working arrangement, the hiring team can be flexible to accommodate a working arrangement as long as the candidate agrees to work flexible hours for meetings in EST time zones and is open to travel up to 30%.
