Engineer Structures

Task Responsibilities:

• Maintain safety of the Cargolux fleet of aircraft.
• Design and certification of repairs and modifications in the area of aircraft structures. 
• Maintain the required level of dispatch reliability of aircraft.
• Maintain cost effectiveness in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of aircraft structures and components.
• Support maintenance and production activities, such as inspections and modifications of Cargolux and customer aircraft.
• Evaluate Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins.
• Provide engineering services to other departments.
• Maintain proficiency in aircraft structures and regulatory requirements.

Essential Requirements For The Position:

• Masters degree in aeronautical or mechanical engineering.
• Experience in an aircraft and EASA Part 21/DOA environment would be considered as an advantage.
• Strong IT background with proficiency in computer programming and 3D CAD/CAM applications.
• Good communication skills with a consultative approach and proactive attitude.
• Responsive and supportive in decision-making.
• Flexible with working hours and willing to travel and occasionally work in other locations.
• Fluency in written and spoken English, other languages will be an advantage.

Working Conditions:

• Full-time, permanent position based in Luxembourg on a temporary contract
• A Certificate of good conduct (Casier judiciaire, Polizeiliches Führungszeugnis) will be required in case of positive selection.
