Maintain the required level of dispatch reliability of aircraft
Maintain cost effectiveness in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of engines and APU's by review of shop visit reports and associated invoices to ensure that most economic decisions have been exercised in the performance of the specified work scope and is in accordance with the terms of the contract in force and the costs are commensurate with the work performed
Monitor engine condition and performance
Support maintenance and production activities, such as inspections and modifications of Cargolux and customer aircraft, engines and APU's
Evaluate Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins
Provide engineering services to other departments
Maintain proficiency in aircraft engines and regulatory requirements
Defining work scope for the shop visits of engines and APU as appropriate
Essential Requirements For The Position:
University degree in aeronautical or mechanical engineering with a specialization in gas turbines or propulsion systems
Experience in an aeronautical environment and knowledge about Part 21 would be considered as an advantage
Strong IT background with proficiency 3D CAD/CAM applications
Good communication skills with a consultative approach and proactive attitude
Responsive and supportive in decision-making
Flexible with working hours and willing to travel and occasionally work in other locations
Fluency in written and spoken English, other languages will be an advantage
Working Conditions:
The position demands a regular and full-time presence. Vacation and other absences should be planned in a way that they do not conflict with service requirements.
The position holder is based in Luxembourg
Occasional travel may be required
Flexibility may be needed with working hours
A Certificate of good conduct (Casier judiciaire, Polizeiliches Führungszeugnis) will be required in case of positive selection
