Responsibilities- Deliver a comprehensive civil inspection programme aligned with Engineering Standards, including scheduling Principal Inspections and coordinating delivery with the Civils Framework Consultant.
- Lead and manage the creation of safe, compliant inspection methodologies and job plans, ensuring effective traffic and pedestrian management across operational areas.
- Conduct and oversee a range of civil asset inspections and assessments such as General, Building, Road Visual, and street lighting column inspections ensuring all outputs meet required standards.
- Prepare and review inspection and assessment reports, ensuring quality and safety compliance; manage defect rectification through immediate action or integration into the Preventative Maintenance (PM) programme.
- Support the development of the civil asset strategy by undertaking surveys, managing a dynamic defect work bank, and ensuring accurate documentation and metadata storage for easy retrieval.
- Act as first-line technical support during civil asset incidents and represent the Client on-site for asset sign-off, snagging, and acceptance, collaborating with Business Units and Maintenance Integration teams.
Qualifications- Engineering Degree (MEng, BEng) or equivalent in Civil or Structural Engineering. Ideally Chartered or working towards Chartership.
- Enthusiasm and willingness to learn new skills and work in a team environment essential.
- Ability to work under own initiative to achieve targets and meet deadlines.
- Post qualification experience within either a civil or structural engineering capacity,
- Experience of undertaking and managing civil / structural inspections or asset management.
- Full UK Driving License.
