As the face of our customer, here’s what you will do:
Whether our customers are traveling for business or pleasure, you are the professional in the airport that crafts important connections and encourages an environment where everyone feels welcome, valued, and respected. You will be interacting with our domestic and international customers in our lobbies and at gates, helping them with ticketing, baggage, greeting customers as they start and end their journey and doing it with a smile. You will provide friendly, professional, confident, and insightful service to help resolve customer travel issues and make their experience memorable.
What are your responsibilities\:
- Staffing the ticket counter, boarding gates and baggage service areas of the airport (Duties may include check-in, ticketing, gates, baggage service and operations)
- Providing assistance and excellent customer service to the traveling public by performing various customer service duties in the airport terminal such as\:
- Receiving and directing incoming calls, greeting and directing customers, tagging and handling baggage
- Preparing tickets, determining fares and routing to assure passenger's travel needs are met
- Maintaining a neat and professional appearance by adhering to United's standards for uniform and dress
This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent school leaving certificate required
- Must be able to work the ticket counter as well as the boarding gates and baggage service area
- Must have a professional appearance
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to lift and maneuver heavy baggage
- Must be able to stand and walk throughout the entire work shift
- Must possess excellent customer service skills
- Computer fluency, Word, excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams and Outlook
- Proven customer service work experience required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to travel to US for training if required
- Must be flexible to work ANY shift that is assigned to you within a 24 hour, 7 day a week operation which can include late nights, early hours, weekends and holiday
- Must be fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken)
- Must be legally authorized to work in Spain for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications
- Reliable, punctual attendance is essential function of the position
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous airline, travel, or hospitality work experience preferred
