This opportunity as a Cook is with one of our subcontractors and plays a vital role in supporting the training of Canadian Army Personnel. Job Duties

Follows cyclical menus and recipes

  • Prepare food for the dining facilities including preparation of soups, daily menus, entrees, vegetables, sauces, gravies, etc., and ensures primary preparation for the entrée items are completed for the following day determined by scheduled numbers in the main kitchen.
  • Ensure that all food remains eye-appealing and replenished throughout the service.
  • Prepare menu products for hay boxes and line service.
  • Load hay boxes and have ready for dispersal as scheduled.
  • Close down line after service either storing correctly or disposing of product.
  • Clean line and grill area etc.
  • Ensure that correct storage conditions for products such as meats, produce, and dairy are maintained.
  • Assist other cooks as required or extra duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Qualifications

1 to 3 years industrial cooking and food service experience.

Pay Details

  • Job Type: Full-time or Part Time.
  • Pay: $21.17-$24.41 per hour.

Schedule

  • 8 Hour shift
  • Expected hours: 40 per week (Full Time).
  • Morning and afternoon shifts available, 7 days a week.

Experience:

  • Cooking: 1 year (preferred).

Licence/Certification:

  • Hold or achieve Food Safety Certification/Safe Food Handlers Certificate.
  • Hold or be able to achieve and maintain a Government of Canada Security Clearance to a minimum status of Reliability.

Work Location: 4th Canadian Division Training Centre – Meaford, ON.
