COUNTER-UNCREWED AERIAL SYSTEMS (C-UAS) Specialist


We are currently hiring a Counter Uncrewed Aerial Systems (C-UAS) Specialist to provide technical and operational C-UAS expertise within the Engineering function.

Your Role:

  • Specify, install, and integrate C-UAS systems including radar, EO/IR, C2, communication, and ECM systems.
  • Test and evaluate C-UAS installations to validate the performance of deployed systems.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for C-UAS system including requirements, designs, manuals, and test procedures.
  • Review and evaluate emergent technologies and systems to maintain technical currency in the C-UAS domain.
  • Develop training material for the operation and maintenance of C-UAS systems and equipment.
  • Deliver training to customers and industry partners.
  • Provide C-UAS expertise in support of bids including statements of work, requirements, concept designs and estimates.


What We Are Looking For:

The C-UAS Specialist should have a high level of knowledge and expertise across the following subject areas:

  • Experience in the design, integration, and/or operation of C-UAS systems including radar, EO/IR, C2, communication and ECM systems.
  • Expertise in the following:
    • Electronic Warfare (EW)
    • Radar
    • RF detection
    • UAV operations
  • Excellent written and verbal ability.
  • Ability to work in a small team, with a flexible approach to working
  • Experience of working alongside internal stakeholders, external customers and industrial partners.


The “nice to haves”:

· Knowledge of and familiarity with Canadian and/or international training development standards

  • Experience developing training programs and documentation
  • Experience delivering training utilising modern training techniques


Security Clearance

Given the nature of our development work, it is a condition of employment that the successful candidate receive the required security clearances. Successful candidates must be eligible for Controlled Goods Regulations Program (CGRP) government clearances and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). In addition, candidates must be able to obtain a Canadian Industrial Security Clearance to NATO SECRET level.

In general, to obtain these clearances, you:

· Must be either a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada

· Must have lived in Canada continuously for the past 10 years

· Must not have a criminal record.
