Job Overview:
Gamit is an Aviation engineering support company based near Stansted Airport, and is part of AMAC Aerospace Group headquartered in Switzerland.
A new vacancy/ies in the Gamit office based in Stansted, UK has come up for CAMO Engineers, to support our CAMO department in Switzerland and Gamit’s own contracts.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- You will have aircraft under your responsibility and work as part of a team to coordinate aircraft maintenance and record keeping as directed.
- Ensuring the continuing airworthiness of aircraft under your responsibility and the serviceability of all operational and emergency equipment.
- Ensuring compliance with the Continuing Airworthiness Policy and the approved Maintenance Program as required by Part M.A.302.
- Analysis of the effectiveness of the Maintenance Program as required.
- Ensure that the aircraft technical records under your responsibility are kept as required by Part M.A.305.
- Ensure the adequacy and efficiency of maintenance planning and technical follow up.
- Ensuring accomplishment of mandatory modification and repairs in accordance with approved standards and establishment of a policy for embodiment of non-mandatory modifications.
- Carry out AD assessments.
- Ensuring embodiment of Airworthiness Directives (AD) or any other airworthiness requirements made mandatory by UK CAA/EASA/FAA/NAA.
- Carry out SB assessment and liaison with customer for recommendation.
- Ensuring all defect rectification is completed and certified.
- Maintain the relationship with the approved Part 145 maintenance contractor(s).
- Ensuring the reporting of technical incidences and major discrepancies to CAA/NAA and the aircraft manufacturers. This includes both Mandatory Occurrences and occurrences related to maintenance findings, which fall outside the Mandatory scheme.
- Review and implementation, as appropriate, of any additional CAA/NAA national requirements.
- Ensure that the Certificate of Airworthiness for each aircraft under your responsibility remains valid in respect of the airworthiness of the airplane, the expiry date specified on the Certificate and any other condition specified in the Certificate.
- Assist with airworthiness reviews or perform the airworthiness review to issue an ARC or send the recommendation to the responsible register NAA.
- Act as Airworthiness Review Staff (ARS) and carry out airworthiness reviews as per customer request if required.
Qualities of the ideal candidate for this position will be:
- Technical studies and/or EASA Part 66 License.
- At least 3 years' experience in a CAMO environment
- He/she is currently working in a similar role and is used to dealing with commercial and private aircraft clients.
- Detailed knowledge of EASA Part-M/145 regulations including Human Factors.
- Experience with Aircraft Maintenance Programs.
- Experience with Aircraft transition Programs.
- Experience in Operator/MRO Software.
- Good MS-Office skills.
- Familiar with communicating with people worldwide who speak English as a second language
- Handling of complex and dynamic processes.
- Experience in Airline operations / English language essential / excellent IT Skills and experience with AMOS beneficial.
- Experience with B747, B737, A320, A330, A340, Gulfstream and Bombardier family types.
