The Opportunity: Aviation Technologist to provide academic and aviation safety support to faculty and students in the School of Aviation by overseeing in-flight learning activity and participating in all aspects of flight operations routines. The incumbents primary focus on Multi-Engine and Group 1 IFR training, supporting aviation with operational requirements. The incumbent will perform duties of a Check Instructor and Duty Pilot. The incumbent shall build experience toward duties of a Supervising Instructor and Assistant CFI. Create and present Aviation materials and information for various external groups and events. The incumbent may hold authorization to authorize licence and ratings and conduct some Pilot Examinations. For career development and experience, continue to perform other duties for which they have received training, demonstrated sufficient skill and hold applicable authorization.
What you need to be successful:
Sault College provides an attractive total compensation package, encompassing competitive wages/salaries, a defined benefit pension plan, group insurance benefits, and a variety of employee perks. This is a full-time support staff position, 40 hours/week, Payband H - $36.29 - $42.13/hour (starting rate $36.29/hour). Some weekends and evening shifts required.
