Location & Hours: Yeovil, 37 per week, Monday to Friday

Assessment day: 18th Feb 2026 

Start date: 10th August 2026

The Apprenticeship & Routes: 

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated individuals to join us, people who are looking for an exciting career rather than just a job. 

This apprenticeship services two career paths, Aerospace Machinist and Aerospace Manufacturing Fitter.  Honeywell will provide you with the below, alongside a salary, with annual uplifts, and competitive benefits.

  • Year 1: Spend your time in our dedicated apprentice training school learning the principle skills of machining whilst attending college on a day release program
  • Year 2: Spend your time in our state-of-the-art production facilities whilst attending college on a day release program
  • Year 3 & 4: Transition into your specific career path, either within our Machining or Assembly & Test value streams, (OEM and Repair & Overhaul). 

 

You will gain the nationally recognised qualification of NVQ Level 3 Machining Technician Advanced Apprenticeship.

 

Key requirements:

Applicants should enjoy practical and academic work and have a passion for Engineering, an interest in Aerospace, and the following skills:

 

  • Four GCSE’s at Grade 4/C and above or equivalent; must include Maths, English, and a Science subject. 
  • An interest in aerospace would be advantageous.
  • Full and permanent right to work in the UK
  • Live within an easy commute of our Yeovil offices
