Description

Aviation recruitment experts Optime Group are excited to be recruiting for an Allocator to join a major aircraft cleaning operation at Bristol Airport.

This is a key night-shift operational role, responsible for the effective allocation of people, equipment and facilities to ensure aircraft cleaning services are delivered on time, to standard, and in line with live flight schedules.

Hourly £13.54 per hour
Shifts: Night Shift (18:45 – 06:45)
Shift pattern: 4 nights on / 4 nights off
Full site training and onboarding provided
Permanent Hire

Key Duties:

Resource & Shift Planning
Pre-plan task allocation in line with flight schedules, forecast demand and rostered resource
Plan and adjust shift allocation based on real-time availability of staff and equipment
Review rosters regularly in line with airline schedule changes and recommend updates

Equipment & Facilities Allocation
Pre-book and coordinate equipment and facilities, including wash bays and ground power
Ensure resources are utilised efficiently to meet operational demand

Operational Control & Communication
Monitor task progress throughout the shift and adapt allocation plans as required
Communicate regularly with cleaning teams to gather progress updates
Provide guidance and reallocation support to teams falling behind schedule
Escalate potential shortfalls or issues to the Duty Manager

Stakeholder & Airline Liaison
Liaise with airport authorities and airline partners for special requirements
Support the on-time delivery of all nightly aircraft services to the required standard

Continuous Improvement & Teamwork
Monitor effectiveness of allocation plans and feedback improvement recommendations
Ensure smooth handovers between shifts
Provide cover and support across departments where required

Requirements:

Ability to work night shifts with flexibility where required
Full UK manual driving licence is essential
Previous experience in aviation operations, resource allocation, shift management or planning is desirable
Strong analytical skills with the ability to react quickly under pressure
Excellent communication skills

IT literate with strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel, and experience using real-time allocation tools
Must be over 18 and have the Right to Work in the UK

As this is an airport-based role, successful candidates must pass security checks in line with CAA regulations, including:
5-year checkable work history
Criminal record check with no disqualifying convictions
