We are seeking skilled and safety-focused Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AME – M) with experience on turboprop aircraft to join our team at the MRO in Calgary, AB. The successful candidates will perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical systems on Dash 8, Twin Otter, CL-415/CL-215, while upholding the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Duties & Responsibilities
Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair, aircraft mechanical systems including powerplant, flight controls, hydraulics, landing gear, and associated electrical components
Knowledge of Standard Practices and Mechanics Systems, accurately interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, system schematics, engineering orders, test documents, manufacturer’s installation manuals
Perform thorough system checks, functional tests, and inspections to verify compliance with manufacturer specifications, Transport Canada regulations, and industry safety standards
Keep accurate records of all work performed and maintain inventory of tools and equipment
Maintain a clean work area and alert the leadership team of any safety concerns; take immediate action or report immediately any unsafe conditions
Responsible for ensuring both accuracy and traceability of parts removed or installed on Aircraft
Properly utilize maintenance test equipment to perform systems tests. Properly utilize and maintain mechanics hand tools to perform installations and repairs
Safely operate ground support equipment, i.e., power carts, lifts (when properly trained), etc. as required
Take direction effectively from assigned leadership (both verbal and written) and collaborate professionally within the team
Perform additional duties as assigned and maintain flexibility to support shift work when required
Education & Experience
1- 5+ years’ experience working on the Dash 8, Twin Otter, or CL
Shall hold current AME “M” Transport Canada license
Aircraft type rating would be an asset
Ability to hold an ACA would be an asset
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail
Able to work effectively independently and as part of a team
Basic computer skills and familiarity with Internet
Good verbal and written communication skills
Physical Requirements
Ability to work Monday – Friday 0600-1430
Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights
Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs
Ability to acquire a Transport Canada issued Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC)
