Learn industry-recognized skills, along with hands on and in classroom learning, allowing you to become equipped for apprenticeships and real-world aviation maintenance careers.
Your Tasks:
This is a schooling program (not an employment position) that will provide you with the certification, technical knowledge, and hands-on skills needed to begin your journey as a Aircraft Gas Turbine Engine Mechanic. Candidates must be available for a 38 week educational course starting February 2026.
Upon course completion, you’ll be well-positioned for apprenticeship opportunities in the aviation industry. Candidates may also be considered for scholarship to support class fees. Dependent upon performance, successful graduates may be considered for future employment opportunities at MTU Maintenance Canada.

Upon successful completion of the Gas Turbine Engine Certificate Program, candidates hired at MTU will progress through the following wage structure:
Apprentice
1st 26 weeks: $28.62/hour
2nd 26 weeks: $30.29/hour
3rd 26 weeks: $32.59/hour
Mechanic
1st 52 weeks: $37.88/hour
2nd 52 weeks: $39.21/hour
3rd 52 weeks: $40.00/hour
4th 52 weeks: $43.60/hour
