Airbus
Full-time
On-site
Toulouse, France

Job Description:

Feeling ready to spread your wings ? What if your adventure started with us?!

Whatever your dream job, we might have the internship for you!

Are you a student looking for an internship that will validate your degree and launch your career? Imagine yourself at the heart of an internationally recognized company, established on every continent, and rich in diverse backgrounds, expertise, and cultures.

Focused on digital and at the forefront of research and innovation, you have the opportunity to be part of this exciting adventure.

Your mission:

An internship opportunity titled: “Multi-Systems Architecture for Enhanced Aircraft Risk Analysis” has just opened at Airbus Operations Engineering based in Toulouse, France.

You will join the "Overall Systems Operations and Co-Architecture" department.

Your internship will consist in supporting a major shift in how we design and build aircraft, helping define the next generation of robust solutions for aircraft risk analysis.

As the industry moves toward a more digital, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach, we have a unique opportunity to improve the way we define multi-system architectures. By joining us, you'll contribute to enhancing aircraft safety and efficiency right from the initial conceptual development phase.

Internship duration: 5 months starting in April 2026.

You'll be a part of our team, helping us define and implement new methodologies for future aircraft development

Your main missions will consist in:

  • Designing integration solutions: Developing innovative methods for the functional and physical integration of aircraft systems

  • Analysing aircraft systems: Gaining a deep understanding of how electrical and mechanical energy and the data flows are allocated and distributed across an aircraft

  • Enhancing safety: Identifying and analysing risks associated with system integration from a holistic perspective to contribute to the definition of a safety-robust overall aircraft systems design

  • Leveraging cutting-edge tools: Utilising powerful CAD tools, specifically Dassault Systèmes products like 3DExperience, to develop new ways of working and enhance aircraft design

  • Applying your knowledge: Combining your understanding of aircraft systems with 3DExperience capabilities to drive the development of improved design methods

This role is a perfect fit for a future engineer that is searching to acquire a grasp of aircraft systems and an overall perspective on innovative integration solutions. Your tutor will support you in identifying your professional objectives and developing your skills.

This internship will allow you to develop the following skills:

  • Systems Architecture Analysis: Deep understanding of how electrical, mechanical energy, and data flows are allocated and distributed throughout an aircraft

  • Holistic Integration: Proficiency in designing and implementing functional and physical integration solutions between diverse systems

  • Holistic Risk Assessment: Skill in identifying and analysing risks from a system integration perspective

  • Safety-Robust Design: The ability to contribute to a safety-robust overall aircraft systems design by focusing on risks across the entire platform

  • Advanced CAD Proficiency: Expertise in using Dassault Systèmes tools (e.g., 3DExperience) for complex design and engineering tasks

  • Design Method Innovation: The skill to develop and apply improved design methods and "new ways of working" by strategically combining system knowledge with advanced digital tools

This internship offers a real opportunity to contribute to next-generation aircraft design, helping to improve safety and innovation. We're looking for someone who is ready to tackle challenges and contribute to the future of aerospace.

Your boarding pass:

You are in your final year of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aeronautical, Systems, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.

You possess the following competences:

    • Systems Engineering: Foundational knowledge of Systems Engineering is essential in combination with knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)

    • Aircraft systems: An understanding of aircraft functions and system integration is a plus

    • CAD software: Experience using Dassault Systèmes tools (CATIA, 3DExperience) and applying parametric design

    • Bonus point: Basic knowledge of EKL (Enterprise Knowledge Language) is a plus

  • Soft Skills:

    • Team spirit and collaboration in a multi-cultural environment

    • Proactivity and curiosity. Willingness to learn

    • Autonomy
