Job Description

Job Title: Quality Engineer 

Seniority Level: Junior - Mid (2-4YOE)

Location: Essex (Hybrid working)

About the Role:
As a Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that manufacturing processes and products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. You will be embedded within aerospace and defence manufacturing environments, working with cutting-edge technologies and systems that support mission-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure manufacturing processes meet conformance requirements and align with industry standards.
  • Apply ISO 9001:2015 quality frameworks to support certification and compliance.
  • Support cleanroom operations, including calibration and enforcing cleaning protocols.
  • Investigate and resolve non-conformance issues, driving corrective and preventative actions.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to maintain aerospace-quality standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across aerospace manufacturing activities.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in Quality Engineering within an aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards and quality management systems.
  • Hands-on experience working in cleanrooms and with calibration processes.
  • Strong ability to develop and enforce cleaning protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills for handling non-conformance issues.

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with QMS tools and continuous improvement methods.
  • Having satellite experience within a quality engineering environment
  • Background in manufacturing within aerospace

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience).
