Qualification
  • Diploma or degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Certification or training in aerial survey techniques and UAV/drone operation is a plus.
Experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in aerial surveying, preferably in mining, construction, or related industries.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in operating drones/UAVs and aerial survey equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of GIS, photogrammetry, and remote sensing technologies.
  • Ability to process and interpret aerial data and generate accurate maps and reports.
  • Familiarity with relevant software such as AutoCAD, ArcGIS, Pix4D, or similar.
  • Understanding of safety protocols related to aerial operations in industrial environments.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with survey teams and site management.
  • Basic proficiency in use of GPS survey equipment
Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute aerial surveys using UAVs/drones and other aerial survey equipment.
  • Capture high-resolution aerial imagery and data for topographic mapping and mine planning.
  • Process and analyze survey data to create accurate digital maps, models, and reports.
  • Collaborate with surveyors, engineers, and geologists to ensure data accuracy and project requirements.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and safety checks on survey equipment and drones.
  • Comply with all safety regulations and company policies during aerial operations.
  • Maintain clear documentation of survey activities and data for project records.
  • Set-out and pick-up of ground control points
  • Assisting the survey team with point pick-ups, set-outs, and general field work as required.
