Primary Objective of the Position:
The Engineering Administrator is responsible for coordinating, providing and maintaining administrative support to the Engineering Department.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director, Fleet Standards with organization of department projects.
- Maintain a “Running Projects Log” of open department projects for the Director, Fleet Standards.
- Responsible to review all published documents incorporate into our Approved Maintenance Schedule (MSA) to generate amendments as per company policy and procedures.
- Support system data input of Maintenance Specifications (MSA) for changes and with additional aircraft to the fleet.
- Assist with preparing import packages & reports for new aircraft acquisitions.
- Ability to navigate within various aircraft documents. For example, Maintenance Planning Document (MPD), Vendor Supplemental Type Certificate (STC), Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM) and an Illustrated Parts Catalogue (IPC).
- Coordinate with the Quality Assurance to ensure that all the required paperwork and/or documents are maintained and current.
- Perform a variety of support and general administrative assignments in support of the projects, including filing, data entry, and tracking/correspondence while following established standards and work processes.
- Be knowledgeable with all company and government manuals/documents pertaining to management of the fleet.
- Required to communicate with other department managers to support Engineering department.
- Attend and participate in a variety of production and team meetings.
- Participate and be an active member of the Reliability Program.
- Responsible to prepare and maintain various monthly reports and data collection.
- Stay current with all technical, regulatory and company training required to function in the role.
- Ensure a clean and safe workplace for team members.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Aircraft Maintenance, Maintenance Planning or Records.
- Knowledge Cargojet Maintenance Policies and Procedures considered an asset.
- Excellent knowledge of the airline operational environment.
- Excellent working knowledge with Microsoft Office 365 and PDF programs.
- Experience with Cargojet CORE system considered an asset.
- Good working knowledge of airline standards and regulations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, autonomous and very motivated.
