Description

Based in London or Ipswich on a hybrid basis, an exciting opportunity has become available for an individual to join our Airline Practice as a client relationship manager. The successful incumbent will have responsibility for a portfolio of aviation accounts handling all aspects of clients’ insurance programmes in a timely, technically proficient, accurate and compliant manner. This will include but not be restricted to: new business enquiries; client renewals; client management.

This position is focused on supporting and developing client relationships in Asia, and specifically China, by providing quality technical administrative and service support directly to Clients, Insurers and Account Executives.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support the ESG Lead with delivery of sustainability-focused risk insights, client deliverables, and market presentations across global aviation and aerospace portfolios.
  • Assist in the development and communication of ESG-related insurance strategies tailored to airline, airport, and space-sector clients.
  • Conduct research on emerging sustainability risks and regulations (e.g. climate risk disclosures, SAF, transition risk), summarising findings into actionable insights for internal and client use (clarity on demand)
  • Work closely with the WTW Climate Practice to help introduce their capabilities, analytical tools, and advisory solutions to aviation and space clients—actively supporting cross-sell opportunities into our global book of business.
  • Monitor developments in sustainable aviation, net-zero pathways, and ESG reporting trends, keeping the team informed and proactively identifying opportunities for WTW

The Requirements

  • Confident in advising clients with the ability to engage and form strong relationships
  • Experience in a client-facing role preferrable but not essential, can be in either supporting or managing an assigned client portfolio.
  • Provide excellent client service.
  • An understanding of client company culture and being able to interact accordingly
  • Be able to work in a deadline driven environment.
  • Be confident user of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Have excellent organisational, PC and communications skills.
  • ACII qualified or studying towards is preferred but not essential.
  • Knowledge and understanding of green energy and sustainability
  • Mandarin language capability is essential
